Winking Studios, a prominent Asian provider of triple-A game development outsourcing, has recently acquired China’s Mineloader. The acquisition comes with a price tag of £16.3 million, which translates to $19.87 million. The payment structure includes an immediate payment of $14.7 million, with the remainder slated to be paid over the next five years, contingent on Mineloader meeting specific performance targets.
Mineloader brings impressive credentials to the table as an art outsourcing developer. Established in 2003, the company has made its mark in the industry. Winking Studios’ CEO and founder, Johnny Jan, reflected on the acquisition, stating, “This is our most significant acquisition thus far and represents a major strategic move, cementing our standing in the global video games industry. It opens up exciting avenues for growth and innovation.”
