This week on the Nintendo Switch eShop, fans are treated to a delightful mix of classic SNES games, fresh tunes for Nintendo’s music app, enticing sales, and a lineup of shiny new titles ready to be downloaded.
The SNES game library for Switch Online is welcoming four fresh entries, all brought to us by the renowned developer Koei from its prime era. The saga starts with Nobunaga’s Ambition and its sequel, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness. These games, originally launched in the mid-90s, immerse players in Japan’s Sengoku era, a time of intense belt-tightening and region reconsolidation. Your mission? Seamlessly unite these sprawling territories.
Taking a turn to ancient China, Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV Wall of Fire invites strategists to test their tactical skills. This 1994 classic demands cunning in the unsteady world portrayed in the historical novelette, Romance of the Three Kingdoms.
The journey doesn’t stop there. We set sail to Europe with Uncharted Waters: New Horizons, another Koei treasure from 1993. It’s a nautical adventure where exploration meets intricate trade systems on the high seas.
Switching gears to the Nintendo Music app, it sees a quirky update. This odd installment features only 23 tracks from Kirby and the Forgotten Land—but where’s the rest? Perhaps they’ll arrive at a future date.
Among the new arrivals in the eShop is Which Way Up: Galaxy Games. For some insider insights, catch our chat with Turtle Flip Studio, the brains behind this creation, on the latest Pure Nintendo Podcast. And don’t miss our forthcoming review!
That’s a wrap for this week’s eShop buzz. Fancy any of the new titles? We’d love to hear what you’re diving into this week!
