Guess what? We’ve got some thrilling updates on 2XKO that have been brewing on social media this month, making it far more eventful! The big news is about an upcoming development update video that’s on the horizon. It promises an in-depth look at changes for the game Jinx and a detailed preview of the next Alpha Lab test.
The source of our excitement? None other than Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief at 2XKO, who broke the news on Twitter. In his post, Ben reveals, “We’ve just finished filming the latest 2XKO update. We’re in the process of editing, producing, and localizing it, but here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming: A thorough dive into our gameplay modifications since Alpha Lab 1, including Jinx, plus insights into Alpha Lab 2, and a showmatch with the dev team.”
He didn’t stop there. Ben continues with, “This update is pretty detailed, so expect the video to be on the longer side, possibly around an hour. We’re aiming to release it in the final week of March. While we’re not quite ready for PowerPoint livestreams yet, maybe one day…”
But before you get too carried away, it’s worth noting that Ben clarified there won’t be any character reveals in this update. So, save your guesses for another day.
Previously, the 2XKO team hinted with a “See you next year” that fresh information would come in February. However, things have taken a different turn. Game director Shaun Rivera stepped in to announce changes which include a revised scope for the upcoming Alpha Labs test and an innovative feature for the game.
It seems like some internal shuffling at Riot and a shift in plans for the Alpha Lab tests have deferred the anticipated February update to this month. Regardless, with the game still on track for a release this year, we’re all eager for these updates to shed light on current progress and future expectations.
