Are you itching to finally dive into “Dune Awakening” after hearing about it so much? Well, good news—your chance is just around the corner! A free open beta weekend is set for May 9 through May 12, giving you an early taste of the action.
To join in, you’ll need to wishlist the game by May 9 for a shot at playing, or snag one of the many beta codes the team will distribute throughout the weekend. So, it’s a bit of a lottery, but a lot of players will have the opportunity to try it. Think of it as the door being slightly ajar, not wide open.
Interestingly, this beta is just a few days ahead of the planned launch date of May 15, which was delayed for some fine-tuning. The team at Funcom wanted a bit more time to ensure everything is polished for the big release.
During the beta, you’ll have access to the first two regions, which should give you around 20 hours of gameplay to explore. You’ll get to check out a few Research Facilities, experiment with early class abilities, and take part in some thrilling PvP at ship crash sites. It’s a great appetizer for what’s to come. Don’t miss our brand-new preview of “Dune Awakening” that delves into this part of the game.
Excited about the open beta? We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
