Remember when Epic Games introduced stylish footwear to Fortnite last year? Players could dress Zuko in Jordans or take a more casual approach with slippers for Darth Vader. It was only a matter of time before something like Crocs – as Vox described, those “squishy orthopedic shoes” – made their way into the game. Ever fancied seeing Godzilla sporting a pair of Crocs? Well, now’s your chance.
In the latest update for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2, dropping tonight, Epic Games will finally launch Crocs in the Fortnite Item Shop. Players will have the option to pick from four distinct styles: the classic white and pink Crocs, or go for something a bit more dynamic with funky black and grey ones. Plus, you can jazz them up with Jibbitz and even engage sport mode, all without an additional cost. Just imagine trying to keep them on during a sprint through Outlaw Oasis!
As for me, I think I’ll wait until Epic Games introduces platform Croc heels for that extra flair. Then again, I never thought I’d step out of the house wearing my Crocs, yet here I am, embracing the trend.
