OneXPlayer has just rolled out the X1 Pro, boasting a versatile 3-in-1 design powered by AMD’s cutting-edge Strix Point APUs. Hot on the heels of the F1 Pro and the Ayaneo 3, the X1 Pro stands out as one of the early adopters of AMD’s Zen 5 Strix Point APUs, positioning itself as a formidable rival to GPD’s anticipated Pocket 4 mini laptops.
The OneXPlayer X1 Pro is designed for multifunctionality, allowing it to serve as a laptop, a tablet, and a handheld device all at once. It matches the Pocket 4 with its inclusion of the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370. This powerhouse features 12 cores (comprising four Zen 5 and eight Zen5c) in a dual-CCX configuration, paired with 12MB of L2 cache and 24MB of L3 cache, all pushing a boost clock up to 5.1 GHz. On the graphics front, it packs a punch with the integrated Radeon 890M, equipped with 16 compute units. Thanks to AMD’s XDNA 2 technology, the NPU within the HX 370 delivers an impressive 50 TOPS of AI performance.
The device’s display is nothing short of spectacular, featuring a 10.95-inch 120 Hz LTPS panel, likely IPS, boasting a stunning 2560×1600 (2.5K) resolution. The visual experience is rich and vibrant, with the panel covering 138% of the sRGB color spectrum and offering a brightness level of 540 nits. Storage options are quite flexible, ranging from 1TB to a whopping 4TB, with read speeds of up to 7.1 GB/s and write speeds hitting 6.5 GB/s, all in the 2280 form factor. Plus, OneXPlayer has thoughtfully provided a MicroSD card slot for those needing extra storage space.
The X1 Pro comes with a 65.02Wh battery, promising up to eight hours of use, though actual battery life will depend on how you use it. At a 28W configuration, expect around a two-hour runtime. The package includes a 100W Gallium Nitride charger for quick recharging. Connectivity options are top-notch, with support for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
For gamers, the device includes hall-effect RGB joysticks designed to minimize stick drift. In terms of I/O, you’ll find two USB 4.0 ports, an OCuLink interface, a MicroSD card slot, a USB 3.2 Type-A port, and a 3.5mm audio jack to round it out.
You can jump on the pre-orders today to grab the X1 Pro at a discounted rate during the presale period. The devices are expected to start shipping on January 3rd. Additionally, OneXPlayer will showcase the X1 Pro alongside other exciting products at CES 2025 next month.
