Picture this: a massive dragon-like drake soaring through the sky, hurling fireballs my way. Armed with a bow, I launched arrows back while nimbly avoiding its fiery attacks. Thankfully, not one of those fireballs hit me! However, the wooden scaffolding I was perched on wasn’t so lucky. In a blink, it was ablaze and giving way beneath me. Realizing I was precariously high up, I quickly leaped to a section that remained untouched by flames. With a quick spin, I tapped into my magical prowess, grabbing a chunk of the flaming structure and flinging it back toward the beast, landing a fatal blow. In that split second, I felt like a true hero.

But my moment of triumph was short-lived. As I tried to dash across some debris that had landed nearby, my character’s physics glitched out, sending me tumbling from the tower. I smacked down onto the ground below, shaken but still alive. Just another wild day in Eternal Strands, a game that’s as ambitious as it is wonky, blending action and role-playing into one entertaining package. – Zack Zwiezen
