It looks like ASRock is gearing up for a comprehensive release of AMD’s upcoming RDNA 4 GPUs, focusing primarily on the Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. While the official visuals from other AIB partners are still under wraps, ASRock’s versions have leaked, revealing three distinct lines: Steel Legend, Taichi, and Challenger. Let’s start with the Taichi series, which is expected to be ASRock’s top-tier model. It boasts a sophisticated triple-fan setup matched with a robust heatsink, accounting for its three-slot architecture.
Interestingly, the Taichi model features a notable 12V-2×6 power connector. Not every variant will include this feature, as AMD has allowed AIB partners to decide based on the specific power needs of each model. This connector can deliver up to 600W of power, a clear indicator that the Taichi version is designed to excel in specifications and overclocking.
Moving on to the Steel Legend model, this one is positioned as a mid-range option from ASRock and flaunts both white and silver color schemes. This variant sports a 2.5-slot triple fan design but opts for the more common 2x 8-pin connector instead of the 12V-2×6. This pin connector is the standard among most of AMD’s AIB models, excluding a few high-end exceptions like the Taichi.
As for the release timeline, it’s reasonable to anticipate these models hitting the shelves around next week. That aligns with rumors suggesting AMD will kick off pre-orders for the RX 9070 series GPUs around that time.
